PEXON ROMANIA S.R.L. is the AI engineering hub of Pexon Group, registered in Cluj-Napoca in 2026. It practises forward deployed engineering: senior engineers work inside a customer's own cloud tenant, on their systems, alongside their team. Engagements are contracted under German law and start with a two-week fixed-price blueprint.

These four figures describe Pexon Group. This site is published by PEXON ROMANIA S.R.L., the group's AI engineering hub in Cluj-Napoca, registered in 2026 — a separate legal entity, and the party you contract with here. Engagements are governed by German law; that is a choice of law, not a German counterparty.

Why we exist

We kept being called in after the pilot.

Pexon started as a cloud engineering firm. Between 2019 and 2023 the group built platforms for manufacturers, utilities and financial services, and kept arriving at the same moment in the same kind of conversation.

A team had proven that AI worked. The demo answered the question, the room was impressed, and then it stopped. Not on the model, and not on budget. It stopped because the data was unreachable, the permission model could not be expressed, and nobody owned the thing after the pilot team moved on.

Nobody needed another workshop. They needed engineers who would read the schema, carry the rights through, and still be there in month nine.

THE BRIEF THAT SHAPED THE COMPANY

So we rebuilt how we work. Senior engineers embedded inside the client's environment rather than a project team reporting from outside it. Data layer first, model choice second. Everything inside the client's own tenant, contracted under German law, with the code and the pipelines belonging to them.

Today the group is five specialist companies covering cloud and AI, SAP, agentic workflows, technical training and industrial CAD, coordinated internally so a mid-market company deals with one partner instead of five vendors. PEXON ROMANIA S.R.L. is the AI engineering arm of that group, and the company you contract with on this site.

These are not values on a wall. Each one is something a security committee can check we did, which is the only reason any of them is worth writing down.

Common questions

What does forward deployed mean in practice?

Our engineers work inside your environment, on your systems, alongside your team, for the duration of the engagement. They are not producing a recommendation for someone else to build. The distinction matters because most AI projects fail in the integration, not in the model choice, and integration is only visible from inside.

Where is Pexon Romania based, and does that matter?

Cluj-Napoca, Romania — one of Europe's larger engineering talent pools, inside the EU and inside GDPR. It matters for two reasons: data never leaves the EU by default, and the cost structure lets us staff senior engineers on engagements that would not carry a Munich or Frankfurt rate.

Who am I actually contracting with, the group or one company?

One company. Pexon Group is five specialist companies covering cloud and AI, SAP, agentic workflows, training and industrial CAD, and roughly a hundred engineers across its offices. This site is published by PEXON ROMANIA S.R.L., the group's AI engineering hub, and that is the legal entity on the contract. Pexon Consulting GmbH is a different company in the same group, serving the DACH market in German on its own domain.

How do engagements start?

With a two-week fixed-price blueprint. We look at the data layer, the permission model and the systems the AI would have to reach, and you end with an architecture and a cost figure rather than a proposal. If the answer is that the project should not proceed, that is what the blueprint says.

Which law applies to the contract?

German law. That is deliberate: it is what procurement departments in our market are set up to review, and it removes a negotiation that otherwise adds weeks to a first engagement with a company registered in Romania.
